ABOUT US

We're a Kent-based charity, dedicated to providing adults with learning disabilities with engaging activities like crafts, pottery, and cooking. Our team of professionals is here to support them with their learning disabilities, providing them with the tools and the guidance they need.

OUR VISION

Empowering Lives Through Engagement

At Leaps and Bounds Community Project, we are committed to redefining the way individuals with learning disabilities experience life. Our mission is to provide them with a supportive environment and a range of activities that promote personal growth and independence.

Our Story So Far

2008

FOUNDATION OF LEAPS AND BOUNDS

In 2008, Leaps and Bounds Community Project was established with the vision of creating a positive impact in the lives of adults with learning disabilities.

2010

MOVE TO CENTRAL DEAL

Re-located to a more centrally situated shop in Park Street Deal in 2010 to provide real life work experience for those with learning difficulties

2013

MOVE TO SOUTHWALL ROAD (OUR CURRENT HOME)

In November 2013 Leaps and Bounds relocated from the town centre to its new home in Southwall road. With better access, facilities and space the centre has, as planned, become an activity hub for an expanding range of services dedicated to providing new opportunities for our adults.

2026

FUTURE NEW BUILDING IN SOUTHWALL ROAD

We are in the process of planning a new building within our current location to provide additional facilities for all our adults including one to one supported living accommodation and respite facilities. This will also allow us to design, plan and build dedicated spaces from the ground up so that it meets all the needs of our growing community project.
